Purchasing a foal in utero
FAQ’s
Q: How do I go about purchasing a foal in utero and how do I pay for it? A: We require a minimum 10% non-refundable deposit to take an in utero foal off the market. After that you can either make monthly payments or pay a percentage when the foal is born and the balance at weaning. The foal must be paid for in full by the time it is weaned and ready to leave the ranch.
Q: What are the guarantees? A: You are guaranteed a live healthy foal at weaning. Should the mare you have chosen not deliver a live healthy foal your deposit will be refunded in full. Or you may choose to take another foal (of equal value) if one is available.
Q: What if I am only interested in a foal of a certain sex? A: We are willing to sell in utero foals with colt or filly guarantees. If you only want a colt, then the in utero purchase price will be the same and if the mare delivers a filly your deposit will be refunded in full. If you only want a filly, then the purchase price may be slightly higher (price to be determined at time of in utero purchase) and if the mare delivers a colt your deposit will be refunded in full. Colt/filly guarantees must be arranged at time of purchase.
