Desea DR – Homozygous Grey Spanish Andalusian Filly Born 9/3/07 (Bendito IR X Isla)
“Desi” is a gorgeous filly sired by my beloved Bendito. Pictured above at 3 years old and below at 20 months. She is simply stunning. I never planned to sell her, but a desire to focus on my Gypsy Horses and a need to reduce my horse numbers have forced me to put her up for sale. Desi is a complete love that truly thrives on attention and wants to be someone’s best friend. I just don’t have the time that she deserves. Desi is a gorgeous filly with incredible movement and the sweetest personality. She also comes from excellent bloodlines. Unfortunately Desi was recently diagnosed with an ocd lesion in her right stifle. She has NEVER been lame and has never had any swelling. The lesion was found through an x-ray that was taken during a pre-purchase exam. After speaking with several vets I have learned that there is a very good chance she will never have any lameness issues particularly if she is only used for pleasure riding. There are no guarantees though. Many horses with ocd lesions go on to lead very successful competitive careers and never have a problem. Some do end up having lameness issues though and require treatment in order to continue with their careers. Because we do not know for certain how Desi will do we are offering her at a greatly reduced price. She is currently priced at $4500.
